Monte Baldo in winter/Ski slopes and facilities
Monte Baldo is synonymous with year-round sports.
You can enjoy all winter sports on Monte Baldo. When snow conditions are optimal, the ski facilities reopen to the delight of ski and snowboard enthusiasts. You can also take a relaxing snowshoe walk through the woods, while the more experienced can try their hand at the more demanding ski mountaineering, which allows you to climb to inaccessible locations.
The ski resort on Monte Baldo has four facilities for a total of about 10 kilometres of slopes: Campo Scuola Paperino, Pista Colma, Pista Pozza della Stella, Pista Rossa Passo del Lupo, Pista Nera Prà Alpesina, and Pista Rossa Variante A2 in Prà Alpesina.
Artificial snow is not available due to a lack of water at high altitudes, so all activities depend on natural snow.
The opening of the chairlift and slopes is, therefore, subject to snow conditions, which can be checked by contacting the cable car ticket office at +39 045 7400206 or by consulting the website.
For those who prefer walking over high adrenalin sports, in the winter, Monte Baldo offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty and wonders of nature, even in the colder season. There are numerous trails for all levels of difficulty. Monte Baldo is also the ideal place for those who would like to try snowshoeing. It will be an interesting and fun experience to try, even with the whole family. Don't worry. If you don't have snowshoes, you can rent them at the Ski School near the uphill cable car station or at the Baita dei Forti restaurant.
