Rifugio alpino Telegrafo “Gaetano Barana”

The Barana summit refuge is situated in Brenzone sul Garda on Monte Baldo, a short distance from Cima Telegrafo at 2147 metres asl, in a commanding location with views of Lake Garda. The name comes from the fact that in the past, this was where Napoleon's informers would send messages to the valley.

It is open daily from late spring (May) to early autumn (October), depending on the weather and snow conditions.

The only way to get there is on foot from the Prada Costabella lifts following Trail CAI 658 from the Fiori del Baldo refuge at 1850 metres with a 300-metre difference in altitude, taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes each way.

The refuge offers bar and restaurant service and room accommodations for 2-4 and 8 people for a unique mountain experience.
